Partnering with marvaða and Reykjavik/Berlin-based avant-pop duo Ultraflex, we launched a campaign for their 2024 single Say Goodbye, a cover of Hiroshi Sato's 80's keyboard hit. Our primary goals were to significantly increase streaming rates and expand the fan base across various countries.
Our approach began with a thorough analysis of Ultraflex’s existing fanbase, focusing on demographics, locations, and interests. This informed our audience targeting strategy, allowing us to tailor our efforts effectively. Collaborating closely with Ultraflex and the marvaða team, we developed an array of engaging content assets to attract and captivate potential new fans.
In the subsequent weeks, we rigorously tested different audience segments and content variations to optimize for the highest conversion rates, specifically aiming to maximize Spotify streams. Our objective was to generate substantial engagement—streams, saves, playlist adds, and follows—which would signal Spotify’s algorithm to promote the track further organically.
The Results
Our targeted ad campaigns successfully triggered significant algorithmic playlisting, resulting in over 29K streams throughout the campaign. This included a high rate of track saves and playlist additions, contributing to the long-term growth of the track. We observed notable fan base growth in the USA, aligning with our initial objectives.
